With the new academic year starting next month, the joint meeting with the MSA comes first. Rarely does the society invite a non-medical speaker but next month, we have a former BA airline captain to discuss how we can learn from one of the safest industries in the world about how passenger safety has been so greatly improved over recent years. Apparently they have dispensed with the tick box culture where going through the process is more important than the end result. We clearly still have a great deal to learn!
