The first meeting had an excellent speaker, Dr Barry Miller, who enlightened the audience about the past and future of training in Pain Medicine. Sadly, the audience seemed to be made up more of those who had good reason to go to a Pain Clinic rather than training to treat those attending! They also missed an excellent example of how not to ask the speaker a question. It seems that there's always something to be gained from coming to these meetings!
