The meagre audience heard from Dr Matt Oliver who has been one of the RCA co-ordinators for the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit which recently produced its report. He gave a very insightful exploration of the findings of this large audit in which all of our local general hospitals took part and discussed the lessons learnt to improve the care of this high risk group of patients.
