Another meagre audience at the January meeting heard an excellent talk given by Dr Micheal Stewart, who discussed the management of patients with raised troponin levels in the peri-operative period. This insightful and scientific talk on this area of peri-operative medicine highlighted the difficulties encountered but also stressed the importance of good basic medical care in this group of patients. What a shame no more heard this message?
