Travel

By Car

Directions to LMI from the M62 are straightforward. At the end of the motorway follow the signs for the City Centre, Cathedrals and Universities (approx. 3 miles).

Passing the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral (‘Paddy's Wigwam’) on your right, at the t-junction you will see Liverpool Medical Institution opposite you. The entrance to the LMI is reached via Arrad Street which runs down the left side of the building when approaching from this direction, immediately behind LIV MOVE.

Parking

The LMI has its own small car park at the rear of the building. The car park opening hours are 9.30am to 5.00pm, although it can be open earlier or later than this in accordance with our event bookings. Please check with a member of staff before leaving your car in the car park. Failure to do so may result in your vehicle being locked in the car park.

Parking bays are generally allocated on a first come first served basis, however if you are attending an event with us and require a space, please get in touch to reserve one.

Should parking not be available at LMI, there are a number of car parks nearby that may have spaces, e.g. Mount Pleasant Car Park. We advise that you check their websites for their opening hours etc. when planning your journey. There is also plenty of on street car parking around the LMI, you will need to pay using the pay stations or one of the apps listed on the side of the pay station.

By Train

Liverpool Central is on the MerseyRail network, and it is only a 14 minute walk away. Leave the main station entrance, and turn right onto Ranelagh Street. Continue along Ranelagh street, and cross in front of the Adelphi hotel whilst turning right up Mount Pleasant. Continue up Mount Pleasant to the LMI.

Alternatively Liverpool Lime Street is on the mainline railway network. It is also only a 14 minute walk away. Leave the main station entrance, and turn left onto Lime Street. Continue along Lime street, and cross the front of the Adelphi hotel whilst turning left up Mount Pleasant. Continue up Mount Pleasant to the LMI.

By Bus

There are a number of bus stops close by. Please use your journey planner of choice to determine the best bus route for you.
