Dr Will Roberts

LSA President 2006 - 2008

Dr Will Roberts qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1966. After house jobs, he was a founder member of the Flying Doctor Service in Zambia and, among other roles, began his anaesthetic career by administering ketamine to the locals without, in his own words, ‘any appreciation of the hazards of anaesthesia’.  He returned to Liverpool for some formal training in anaesthesia. After passing the Fellowship and further service overseas, Dr Roberts was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at the Caenarfonshire and Anglesey Hospital in Bangor, North Wales and continues to practice at Ysbyty Gwynedd in all areas of anaesthetic practice.
