Past Presidents
Dr Janice Fazackerley
LSA President 2012 - 2014
The LSA has a membership drawn from all grades of anaesthetist, both working and retired, from all over Merseyside and North Wales. We meet monthly through the winter and spring, and meetings are open to all colleagues. The programme contains something for everyone, with respected, well informed and entertaining speakers keeping up the aims of the Society; to educate and advance knowledge among anaesthetists. The social gathering after wards is equally important and an excellent chance to meet, chat, and get up-to- date with news from across the region.

It is my privilege to be the President of the LSA for the next 2 years. I feel suitably honoured to follow some of the great names of Merseyside anaesthesia in this office. Many of them were my teachers when I began anaesthetic training on the Liverpool rotation at the old Walton Hospital. Now, as a consultant in Warrington and Halton Hospitals, I have to travel further, but still value the camaraderie of the LSA. The Society has a long and rich history, and is currently in fine form, but we are always pleased to welcome new members and attendees, to keep the Society active and progressive. I hope to meet you during the 2012-13 season.
