Dr Jane Harper

The society learnt of the very sad news of the death of Dr Jane Harper on 28th March 2024. Dr Harper, formerly Consultant Anesthetist and Director of the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital was a very popular and highly respected figure within the region for her roles in critical care and education. She became a Council member of the UK Intensive Care Society, where she edited the Society’s Journal. Both Jane and her husband, Dr John Sprigge, were regualr attenders at LSA meetings. Canadian by birth, she and John returned to Canada following her retirement in 2013.
