A Tale of Three Lawrences

The meeting commenced with Dr Lawrence Wilson who talked about the structure of the MSA MCQ, OSCE and Viva course. He assured the audience that the course could not get candidates through the exam without sufficient knowledge. The course improves candidate outcomes in the exam, was an educational catalyst within the region and increased the profile and hence the popularity of the region for trainees.
Dr Azavedo then presented his work as part of a team repairing cleft lips and palates in India. The team had visited Mysore in 2004 and Hyderabad in 2005.
Finally Dr McCrossan talked about his work as Lead Clinician for Intensive Care Outreach in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital with the message that early intervention in serious illness may avoid ITU admission.
